„Lucifer’s Hammer im Interview“

Cheers Metalheads!

Tobi – Metal and Me

Hades – Lucifer’s Hammer

Hello Hades.  My name is Tobi.  I run a Facebook page and a webblog.  On this page I post reviews of current albums, interviews, band presentations and reports about concerts that I visit with my wheelchair.  On the one hand, to tell other wheelchair users how the venue is equipped in terms of accessibility and on the other hand, how to best proceed to get tickets, which is usually not possible with conventional ticket portals.

In the future I will also write about hygiene measures, as this is important for me as a high-risk patient and for my readers too. Of course, I also write about the bands‘ performance.  Today I have a few questions for you about your new Album „The Trip“.

First of all, I want to ask you, how are you and your Bandmates doing right now?

Hello thank you for asking. We are well somewhat limited by the pandemic but still alive !

If you meet someone who did not now what kind of Band „Lucifer’s Hammer“ is and what kind of Music you make – what do you tell him?

Well our music has nothing new just street metal created in South America with influences from the best traditional heavy metal bands of the 70s and 80s.

„The Trip“ is your third Longplayer in this setup. How nervous are you, when yxou think about 11.06.2021?

exactly it is our third full length album, I can tell you that our album has been ready since 2020. the wait to see the light has been really long, everything worsened with the social problems in our country and then the pandemic, that was the limiting factor of so much time of waiting, I believe that the nerves already left with so much time of waiting.

The Track „The Forest of Tar Tac“ was released as Single. Why did you choose this Song?

For the simple reason that the lyrics of the song gave us a much better idea to generate a more entertaining script to make the video clip.

Who was the Artist for your Cover-Artwork and was inspired him to this awesome Cover?

The artist was a guy we met on the street named J.P. We told him about the conceptual idea and he developed it.

Andi, if you MUST chose which is your fav Song of the upcoming Album?

My favorite song is I believe in you.

Is there a Tour planned allready?

If people want to see lucifer’s hammer , you know if the opportunity exists ,we will take it.

How is it to you to stay in contact with your fans via social media in these pandemic times and to find out what the mood is like in the fans‘ camp?

I really don’t have much contact with the people who follow the band, we are a bit far from the social networks, I imagine that in these times things must be difficult for everyone, we can’t do shows either, so everything is limited to the distance of any action.

How did you deal with the restrictions in the meantime?  How much does it restricted you in your working life? I only get the News from Germany about the Virus, and that is enough for me and my peace of Mind. How about in Chile in May, 2021?

I can tell you that the working life here is precarious and with too many hours of work and poor pay, health measures are irregular if not horrible, people still do not become aware of how wrong it can be to catch covid and the news bombard with pure lies and generate social panic, the government does not meet the needs of the people and even worse the considerably increased number of infected and dead by covid in the country has been devastating.

How have you spent your free time under Covid 19 so far?

Not much,  only work. Come home to see my family and then the same from monday to saturday, we can not even get together with the band we are in total quarantines.

How did you choose your Bands Name? Lucifer is a very evil character. And how about the Musicians Names? Hades, Tyr, Titan and Hypnos? Do you like the Mythologie of your „Nicknames“?

We took the name of the band from the novel by Jerry Pournelle and Larry Niven, Lucifer’s Hammer. The nickname was chosen just to keep us anonymous in those days when we started the band, beyond that there is no background.

Is Heavy Metal and the Subgenres also a means for you to switch off everything in this hectic world, to Pause and just listen?

Music beyond a musical style is something wonderful that transports us beyond everything, it generates sensations, accompanies our moods and enhances them, it is clearly the best drug to escape from everything.

Get away from the music a little. What about hobbies of you all?

The time we have left is spent with our families, studying, watching a good soccer game, drinking beers, etc. We don’t have much time left, including the band,

Do you do „a normal Job“ beside making awesome Metal?

Yes, I am dedicated to electricity, it is another thing that I love to do as a job.

If yout got one wish…?

Yes, and it’s private hahaha you don’t want to know hahahaha.

A few words to your Fans out there in Germany and all the Others in the World?

Bangers from germany we hope soon to be able to do a show in your lands, it would be a nice experience, we hope you enjoy our new LP keep them healthy | Lucifer’s Hammer.

Thanks for the interview, „Hades“. Many greetings to all of you. Something that is important to me: Stay healthy and good luck for the Release of your new Album!

THANK YOU ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
